"Little Sisters" land roles in "The Sound of Music"!

A very talented group of people are launching a two week production of "The Sound of Music" in our town. The "hills will be alive with the sound of music" at the Imperial Theatre, in Sarnia, Ontario, from May2-10th. I am sure that cast and crew alike are anxious for the shows to begin, to bring all of their efforts to fruition in front of sold-out crowds! (I will be seeing the performance next week, and am looking forward to it!)
Because of the number of cast members who are portraying nuns in the show, I was asked to create something to sell at the performances as mementos of the event for cast and theatre-goers alike. "Sister Maria", and "Sister Gloria", along with the other "little sisters" from the "Nun of a Kind" line, will be for sale at each performance, and a portion of each sale will be donated to the theatre.
Very often, I am asked to create an ornament or nun figure for someone who is starring in a show like this, "("The Sound of Music", "Nunsense", "Sister Act", etc) as a souvenir of that show. When I had a family member involved in shows in the past, it was my job to create a small gift to serve as a souvenir of those shows, so through the years, ornaments were created for "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "Jesus Christ Superstar", etc. If your group is planning a show, and would like a similar type of souvenir to be created, please contact me through the website, and I would be happy to work with you on creating a special "memory ornament" to suit your needs!

  1. How wonderful they asked you to vend there and make something. It sounds like it will be a great show too. I hope you enjoy both experiences!

  2. Thanks, Lisa! I have even set up the life-size sister in the foyer, the one that is created so that you can put your face through, so that you can be a "sister" for a photo. Should be fun! Must post a photo of that!
