Tis the season to....

spend more time reading! Now that the busy prep season of the fall shows is over, there is a bit more time to delve into more books than usual. Although I am a "book" person, I did receive an e-reader for Christmas, and must admit that I have enjoyed using it. Learned how to download books from our library, and know that having this device will make it easier to cart books on holiday, etc.
First e-reader book..."The Little Giant of Aberdeen County" by Tiffany Baker. Loved it.
Also read "Zero Hour" by David Baldacci. A great read as well.
....on to the next!

  1. I just winter time. When else do we get a chance to catch up with our reading, seeing good movies and just finding time for ourselves. I got an iPad for Christmas and have been downloading books but I still like the feel of a book and turning the pages. No doubt, these new gadgets are great for traveling. Makes life so much easier and less cumbersome.
Have a wonderful New Year Madam Mother Superior and keep those wonderful creations of yours coming'

  2. Meg, I agree with you about winter. A little gift if you have lots of indoor projects, books, etc. You will love your ipad. It is great for books as well, but like you, it will not tear me away from physical books....just one more way to read, and a little easier to tuck in a bag to take with you "on the go"!

  3. It's good to hear your report on your e-reader
...hubby asked if I wanted one for Christmas, but I said no. I love books and felt I could not get used to reading a book from a screen. The more I read and hear about them however, I have to admit that they have their advantages (as you have stated).

Hope things are going well with you!

  4. Sue, thought that I would not like this thing, but I am growing more attached every day! I downloaded an 850 page book from the library, and am trying to read it before it disappears in about 7 days.....
Glad to see you back at your great creations!
