Flowers in January....

This beautiful arrangement was sent to me for with birthday greetings from my son, with specific instructions to the florist that the arrangement should be "funky"...and it is! It consists of "bird of paradise" flowers, three orange roses, some hydrangea, and some orchids, as well as some tall "twigs". What a nice surprise on a winter's day!

  2. Thanks, Meg! The "big day" was yesterday, but the florist was not able to connect with us until today. Yes, I have a very nice son....:)

  3. I should add that I know that there could have been a WAY better photo taken of this....but I was anxious to send a picture of what had been sent, so "voila", this is the result of the very fast photo session.

  4. But the orange pops! Photography in the grayness of the Canadian winter is always a challenge. Can't wait until spring and more daylight time and you can go outside without freezing to death.

  11. Thanks, Sue...that flower was the clue as to who the flowers were from...was always something that he liked to include when buying for people. It is spectacular now, after a few days.
Good to hear from you! Hope that all is going well.
