I would get a lot more work done if....

there were not so many good books to read! Just finishing a book called "Midwives", which was apparently an "Oprah" pick a few years ago. Very interesting....and I am almost at the last chapter. It is difficult to see a good book end. This one is one of those...
Also read "The Shack" by Wm. Paul Young recently. It was also one of those books that will be recommended time and time again. A very interesting "take" on the Trinity, the afterlife, and spirituality.
Sister Rita Story and her friend, Sister Paige Turner, would love to hear about your personal favorites! Please post a comment with your ideas for "good reads", and this list will be posted on the blog at a later date!
By the way, "Sister Rita Story" has been purchased as gifts for more than a few librarians and bookstore owners. One graces a library in Alaska, and one of the "sisters" was purchased for a bookstore owner for a staff gift exchange. The item had been purchased before the theme of the exchange had been announced, and it was feared that the gift could not be used, given the theme. However, since the theme was "perishable goods", and the giver of the gift decided to use poetic license, and change the spelling to "parishable goods", it was a fitting gift after all!
